Fudge Pecan Pie

1/2 C water
1/4 C margarine
2 T unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 C chocolate chips
1/3 C flour
1 C sugar
1/4 t salt
1/2 C vegan milk
1 T vanilla extract
1 C pecan halves
1 - 9-inch prepared pie crust
2 t vegan milk

Preheat oven to 350ยบ F. In a medium saucepan on high heat, bring water to a boil, then remove from heat. Whisk in the margarine, cocoa, and chocolate chips and continue to whisk until melted.

Add flour, sugar, salt, 1/2 cup vegan milk, and vanilla and whisk until smooth. Stir in pecan halves and pour into pie crust.

Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick or knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and immediately brush the 2 tsp of vegan milk evenly over the top of the pie.
