4 C water
2 - whole star anise
1/2 T ground cardamom
12 - whole cloves
2 - cinnamon sticks
1 - large piece ginger
1 t crushed black peppercorns
2 - bay leaves
8 - teabags (black tea)
4 C vegan milk
1/4 C sweetener
Combine all ingredients except milk and sweetener, and boil for 10 minutes.
Strain. Add the hot milk and mix in sweetener to taste.
To avoid sediment in the tea, put cardamom and pepper in a muslin bag.
